Building an inclusive innovation hub from Patna

How Bihar-founded GBEA is connecting founders, mentors, and investors across borders to create a thriving startup ecosystem.

When we registered GBEA in 2025 in Patliputra, Patna, many questioned whether a global entrepreneurship network could truly emerge from Bihar. Today, with over 7,000 founders across 42 countries, we've proven that innovation knows no geographical boundaries.

Our journey began with a simple observation: talented founders in tier-2 and tier-3 cities often lack access to the networks, mentorship, and capital that their counterparts in major metros take for granted. We set out to bridge this gap by building an inclusive innovation hub that connects visionaries, startups, businesses, and investors worldwide.

The GBEA model rests on three pillars. First, mentorship circles that pair early-stage founders with seasoned operators who understand their context. Second, capital readiness programs that prepare startups for responsible fundraising. Third, volunteer missions that deploy skilled professionals to help social ventures scale.

What makes Patna special as our headquarters? The city's rich history as the ancient seat of learning and commerce—Patliputra was once the largest city in the world—inspires our vision of connecting local wisdom with global opportunity. Our team works from a modest office in S.K. Puri, but our impact spans continents.

Looking ahead, we're expanding our chapter network to 30 cities by 2027, launching a dedicated fund for values-aligned investments, and building a digital platform that makes mentorship accessible to any founder with an internet connection. The future of entrepreneurship is inclusive, and we're building it from Patna.
